Ford C-MAX Vehicles Earn Spot on 10 Best Green Cars of 2015 List
Twenty years of research backs the creation of Ford’s dedicated line of gas-electric vehicles, the C-MAX Hybrid and C-MAX Energi. All of that research has clearly paid off as Ford was named for the third year in a row to Kelley Blue Book®’s list of the 10 Best Green Cars of 2015.
The recently published list was assembled by taking into account the most fuel-efficient vehicles on the market and narrowing them down to the top 10 overall best values.
Of the 2015 Ford C-MAX Hybrid and the C-MAX Energi plug-in variant, the experts at KBB.com praised the vehicles’ “standout styling, useful versatility and surprisingly eager dynamics,” in addition to its impressive efficiency.
The Hybrid version offers 42 mpg in the city and a combined rating of 37 mpg. With a battery that allows for a 21-mile all-electric range, the C-MAX Energi offers an 88 miles per gallon equivalent for the first 19 miles and 38 mpg combined for the next 531 miles.
Both vehicles take advantage of the same powertrain, which boasts the highest speeds in electric mode over any other hybrids on the market.
